The Technology Division of our Investment Bank is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Technology Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic Infrastructure Services team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with foundational knowledge in IT infrastructure to grow their career within a fast-paced and complex financial environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the support, maintenance, and enhancement of critical infrastructure systems that underpin our global trading, banking, and data operations. You will work closely with senior engineers to learn, troubleshoot, and implement solutions that ensure the stability, performance, and security of our technology platforms.

• Assist in the day-to-day operational support and maintenance of server hardware, operating systems (Linux/Windows), storage, and networking components.
• Participate in the monitoring of infrastructure systems, identifying and escalating issues to senior team members.
• Contribute to troubleshooting and resolving basic infrastructure incidents and problems under supervision.
• Learn and apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) for infrastructure changes, deployments, and patching.
• Document system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Support capacity planning activities and performance tuning efforts.
• Collaborate with various technology teams (e.g., application development, cybersecurity) to support their infrastructure needs.
• Participate in on-call rotation or provide out-of-hours support as required.
• Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge of new technologies relevant to investment banking infrastructure.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6-9 years of experience in an IT support or infrastructure-related role.
• Basic understanding of operating systems (Linux and/or Windows Server).
• Familiarity with fundamental networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls).
• Exposure to virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong coding experience in any scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Understanding of ITIL framework and incident/problem/change management processes.
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Nagios, Prometheus).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Basic understanding of database concepts.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Linux+, MCSA).
