An exciting opportunity exists for a college graduate to join our semiconductor foundry team at the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department (AMSD) at Raytheon in Andover, MA. AMSD develops, designs, and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and modules for defense applications.
What You Will Do
Work in a cleanroom environment
Handle GaAs and GaN wafers
Assist with various lithography, deposition, and etch processes
Perform and document optical microscope inspections
Perform scanning electron microscope imaging
Failure analysis and Data analysis
What You Will Learn
Wafer fabrication techniques such as lithography, deposition and etch processes
Optical and scanning electron microscope imaging techniques
Data analysis and trouble-shooting techniques
Qualifications You Must Have
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in one or more of the following: Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry
Good written and oral communication skills
Strong academic background
