Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? What You Will Do:- Perform Non-Destructive Inspection duties relating to the overhaul and repair of gas turbine engines.
- Perform Fluorescent Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and/or X-Ray inspection methods on various engine components to determine conformance to Overhaul and Repair Manuals and Quality Standards.
- Set up equipment, conduct test, and to interpret, evaluate, and document results in accordance with the approved procedures.
- Direct the work of trainees and Level I personnel
- Organize and document N.D.T. results. Familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the method being utilized.
- Write procedures and/or initiate techniques that must be approved by the Level III before use.
- Use discretion based on job knowledge and experience when performing non-routine inspections.
- Plan and schedule incoming engines to meet customer requirements in absence of Lead person.
- Comply with all company work rules, follow safe work practices and procedures established to protect the environment, and report to supervisor all unsafe acts, hazardous conditions, and conditions which impact or have the potential to impact the environment.
- Responsible for reading, understanding, and complying with RTX's Code of Ethics, including the obligation to report actual and suspected violations of the code.
- Perform all other related duties as required or assigned.
- Refer difficulties to supervisor.
- U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ year of experience in aerospace or manufacturing
- Pratt & Whitney Bridgeport, WV is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
