Job Description

The Director of Revenue Data Products is the accountable owner for the end-to-end Revenue data domain within the Finance Data Platform. This role leads strategy and delivery for all FP&A Revenue, Drivers, Pricing, Interchange, O2C, billings, and revenue economics datasets. The Director reports to the Leader of the Finance Data Platform and must coordinate closely with the Director of Finance Data Architecture & Modeling and the Finance Data Governance Director, both of whom also report to the same Leader, to ensure alignment, consistency, and integrated data standards across all Finance domains.

This leader drives one of the highest-impact data domains in Finance and must operate with both technical depth and executive presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Domain Strategy & Roadmap Ownership:

  • Own the full roadmap for Revenue data products (pricing, interchange, billings, revenue yield, and O2C KPIs).
  • Align roadmap, priorities, and investment decisions directly with the Leader of Finance Data Platform.
  • Define and maintain the golden revenue semantic layer and global KPI definitions adopted by all Finance teams.

Cross-Domain Alignment & Coordination (core expectation):

Because the Revenue Director is one of several Directors reporting to the Senior Director, this role must collaborate continuously with:

  • Finance Data Architecture & Modeling Director : Ensure all revenue datasets follow canonical models, consistent granularity, dimensional alignment, and enterprise semantic rules.
  • Finance Data Governance Director + Steward : Ensure adherence to governed definitions, data contracts, access policies, and data quality SLAs.
  • Director/Sr Manager Product Management : Provide transparent updates, escalate conflicts, ensure cross-domain consistency, and align revenue work with the overarching Finance Data Platform operating model.

This ensures no revenue definitions diverge, no shadow logic reappears, and all domains integrate smoothly.

Data Product Delivery & Cloud Modernization

  • Partner with Data Engineering to migrate revenue pipelines from Hadoop to AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake.
  • Oversee the design of scalable Spark, Delta Lake, and Snowflake models to support forecasting, planning, and analytics.
  • Deliver certified semantic layers for Tableau and Power BI used by global FP&A teams.
  • Ensure revenue datasets meet audit, lineage, reconciliation, and AI-readiness standards.

Team Leadership

  • Lead a team of 3-4 specialists (Deals SME, Pricing SME & Interchange SME, Revenue Ops analyst).
  • Mentor and build deep domain expertise across the team in partnership with the Senior Director.
  • Drive predictable delivery, sprint planning, execution, and issue resolution.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
10–15+ years in Revenue Finance, Pricing, Interchange, O2C, or Finance data domains.
Deep experience with Hadoop (Hive, Spark, Impala, HDFS).
Strong experience with AWS (S3, Glue, EMR), Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake), and Snowflake.
Strong SQL + experience designing enterprise semantic layers.
Experience enabling Tableau and Power BI teams with governed datasets.

Product & Leadership Experience:
Ownership of domain-level product roadmaps or enterprise data initiatives.
5+ years leading high-performing teams in matrixed data/engineering/finance environments.
Experience managing cross-functional alignment with architecture, governance, and engineering partners.

Business & Analytical Skills:
Strong knowledge of revenue performance analytics, forecasting, elasticity, and pricing economics.
Ability to translate complex revenue processes into scalable data products.
Executive communication and alignment skills.
