NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Systems Administrator based in our Concord, North Carolina office.
The Systems Administrator oversees, manages and implements all aspects of the internal resource software systems (ie payroll management system, resource management system).
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage system development and deployment: determine scope of project; set timelines, assign responsibilities; drive and monitor progress; evaluate capabilities within the system and make recommendations as appropriate.
- Oversee project management and work with vendors and other internal departments to put systems into place.
- Oversee day to day operation and maintenance of the system(s).
- Work closely with internal NASCAR Productions/NASCAR Studios, Finance, Legal, and HR/Pay Services to create workflow within the system; refining and adapting as necessary to meet the needs of the business while remaining compliant with company policies and legal requirements.
- Lead implementation of new operational processes within the business unit.
- Serve as the liaison between Operations and Finance; ensure processes operate as intended and that all parties have relevant data.
- Ensure that project/department milestones and goals are met within approved budgets.
- Develop, prepare, and maintain system handbooks and training materials; ensure team members (new and ongoing) are trained on system; communicate updates and changes to processes as necessary.
- Travel: <5%
Required skills / experience:
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and a minimum of four years’ experience and/or training in Production Project Management, Payroll Systems Administration and/or Information Technology ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in company-provided hardware and software, including Microsoft Office Suite and Resource Management Software (i.e., Xytech, Smartsheet, ScheduleAll, etc.).
- Superior organization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interpret information from several aspects along a broadcast and long-form productions workflow,
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to build strong relationships within different working groups
- Flexible to shifting priorities to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of television, streaming and long-form content production procedures
