What You Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney’s Compression Systems Module Center (CSMC) is seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer to lead projects for New Product Introductions and have responsibility for manufacture of experimental engine hardware. This position offers the opportunity to work on some of the newest products and manufacturing technologies being designed and developed at Pratt & Whitney.
Responsibilities
- Candidate selected will be responsible for planning and development of manufacturing processes for new experimental engine hardware and in some cases phasing these products into production.
- This includes working with new product design engineers during conceptual design phase through detail design and ultimately initial hardware manufacture. NPI ME will utilize MRL tools to ensure product design meets cost and producibility goals while still meeting program and design requirements.
- Support of experimental hardware manufacture will be both within P&W and at selected development suppliers.
- Responsibilities include creation of master planning summary, tool planning, design and tryout, creation of work instructions, development of new process technologies, first piece tryout and delivery of development parts to meet program schedules.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field. Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Required Experience: machining processes, process planning and development.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualification We Prefer:
- New product introductions, rotating hardware, IBRs/Blisks, fan/compressor airfoils, new capital equipment projects, continuous improvement projects, MRL (manufacturing readiness levels) and project leadership>

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
