We are looking for a talented Quality Analyst – Shipping to join our team specializing in Quality for our Cummins Inc. facility in Whiteland, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation and data entry that supports informed decision-making for the team, department, or organizational leaders.
- Improve operational efficiency by researching information, preparing statistical reports, and responding effectively to routine and complex information requests.
- Maintain data integrity by gathering, verifying, and compiling information across reports, presentations, forms, databases, and spreadsheets.
- Enable smooth daily operations by coordinating meetings, conference calls, correspondence, and visitor interactions with minimal supervision.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact by responding to or redirecting internal and external inquiries promptly, accurately, and professionally.
- Support financial and vendor processes by preparing payment documentation, submitting requests in accounting systems, and resolving related inquiries.
- Strengthen consistency and compliance by documenting, maintaining, and updating departmental policies and procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by participating in business improvement projects and acting as an informal resource for less-experienced colleagues.

Education/Experience
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

Core Responsibilities:
- Investigate shipment discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement preventive measures to ensure ongoing quality and compliance.
- Support customer claims process and co-ordinate between shipping office and claims analyst team.
- Actively support the Quality team with additional activities as needed to meet quality targets and drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 lb. as required to support operational activities.
Skills Needed for the Role:
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Strong computer skills and data analysis skills.
- Demonstrated experience with data entry, report generation, and office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, databases).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to explain complex topics clearly to diverse audiences.
