Data Engineer - Associate- Data & Analytics Engineering
Profile Description
We’re seeking someone to join our FRPPE Tech team as a Data Engineer, in Finance Technology to work on front to back initiative to re-platform and renovate key streams of data based on Teradata and Snowflake. These applications include large scale computational processing of datasets, and data model, data pipeline development, warehouse reporting

This is Associate position that provides specialist data analysis and expertise that drive decision-making and business insights as well as crafting data pipelines, implementing data models, optimizing data processes for improved data accuracy and accessibility, including applying machine learning and AI-based techniques.

What you’ll do in the role:
You will be expected to work as a member of the development team and participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle. The candidate will be working on providing Data model design & ETL development (SQL & Internal ETL Framework, and/or Python) as well as very intensive business & data analysis out of our Finance Data Warehouse (FDW) built in Teradata.
The ideal candidate will possess solid technical and problem-solving skills as well as the drive to learn more about the business and new technologies.
Candidate should be open to work from front to back on applications and must have a sound grasp of development best practices and system architecture.
Perform business/data analysis to investigate into various business problems and propose the solution working closely with clients and team
Design, implement, test and maintain ETL components for multiple applications – technology choice could vary depending on the types of components and team’s strategy
Performance and scalability optimization to support large scale deployments
Define new features in conjunction with product management, and provide specifications
Ensure quality and completeness of the final product through unit testing, documentation and maintenance as appropriate.
What you’ll bring to the role:
4+ years of experience in Database & ETL development (ETL/SQL/ Data Modelling). Familiar with best practice on development.
DevOps and AutoSDLC Tooling is required. CI/CD, Jekins
Python (or similar language) experience required (Entry level is fine).
Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux
Previous experience in Finance industry is preferred.
Demonstrates exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure Experience working on large and medium scale projects in an agile environment.
At least 4+ years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
