Position Summary:
The Senior Brand Manager will drive strategic initiatives and innovative product development to shape our brand's future. This role requires a strong understanding of market dynamics and consumer insights to create impactful brand positioning and long-term growth plans. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams in executing brand strategies and campaigns that align with business objectives, while identifying new market opportunities to enhance brand equity and increase market share. The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance brand equity, drive sales, and align the brand's market positioning with the company's overall objectives focusing on ensuring that the brand, products (current and new), and marketing campaigns resonate with current and potential consumers.
Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy: Develop brand positioning, long range plans and branded campaigns based on market trends and consumer insights. Set brand objectives and develop strategic opportunities for growth.
New Product Development: Create a vision for the brand, develop and maintain the innovation funnel, and lead development work with the technical team.
Brand Operations: Monitor brand performance and profitability, manage the brand budget, and analyze market and brand data.
Brand Communication: Develop communications across all media channels, work with cross functional partners, and identify sales opportunities.
Insights & Analytics: Analyze and interpret market trends, syndicated data, and consumer research.
Brand Loyalty: Build brand loyalty, drive trial, and encourage repeat purchases.
Supervisory:
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing. Masters/ MBA with concentration in Marketing degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in brand management and product innovation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
P&L management; development and execution of brand marketing; cross- functional knowledge; direct experience in all various aspects of business including manufacturing and product development.
Track record in managing a diverse product portfolio and driving brand growth.
Strong understanding of brand foundational tools, consumer insight identification, segmentation and target development.
Experience with brand positioning and brand strategy development.
Proven capability to lead in a matrix organization driving collaboration across businesses and functions as well as leading agency partners in long-term projects.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills (IRI/SPINS/Nielsen)
Strong understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce strategies.
