We are looking for a talented Senior Commissioning Engineer – PG to join our team in Service in Dallas, TX.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Accelerate Complex Repairs By formulating and directing intricate repair plans, you'll reduce downtime and improve customer satisfaction, especially in challenging warranty and non-warranty cases.
- Enhance Diagnostic Accuracy Your expertise in diagnosing hard-to-identify issues ensures faster resolution and minimizes repeat service visits, saving time and resources.
- Drive Escalation Efficiency Managing and improving the escalation process helps streamline support workflows and ensures timely intervention from higher-level experts when needed.
- Empower Technicians Through Mentorship Coaching and mentoring technicians boosts their confidence and technical capabilities, strengthening the overall service network.
- Strengthen Product Knowledge Across the Region By distributing technical communications and staying updated on current and new products, you’ll ensure your region is well-informed and prepared.
- Promote Service Programs to Boost Revenue Advocating for Cummins service capabilities and programs helps increase adoption, driving sales and reinforcing brand loyalty.
- Improve Field Reliability Through Investigations Investigating product issues at customer or dealer locations allows you to identify root causes and contribute to long-term product improvements.
- Document Insights for Continuous Improvement Clear and concise documentation of diagnostics and repairs feeds into knowledge databases, helping others learn from your expertise and improving future service outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline or relevant experience equivalent required.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Intermediate level of relevant work experience required. Prior experience in a technical role is preferred.
Additional Information/Responsibilities:
We are looking for a talented Senior Commissioning Engineer – Power Generation to join our team specializing in Service for our Distribution Business Segment. Resides in South / Southeastern United States, Dallas, TX area preferred. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Develop work plans and provide on-site commissioning leadership for large scale complex power generation paralleling and high voltage system projects
- Review complex project specifications and technical information
- Provide technical support to Technicians, Commissioning Engineers, and Sales Teams
- Understand customer requirements and work to satisfy requirements
- Engage appropriate organization resources to accomplish commissioning objectives and technical issues resolution
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 5 years on-site work experience in the power generation industry
- 5+ years of experience in Power Gen and paralleling is a MUST
- Paralleling Switchgear Systems troubleshooting experience
- Communication – organize and lead calls/meetings, effectively communicate verbally and via various technology based means
- Formal Education is optional
Preferred:
- Electronics, data network, and/or PLC experience
