Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, enhancement and ongoing optimisation of Workday Core HCM and organization's HRIS Vendors.
• Present architectural design, integration strategy, and governance plan for securing technical approval for new vendors or tools.
• Maintain Workday HCM day-to-day ensuring proper and accurate data integrity, performance and security. Provide system support, training and documentation for all end users.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across Total Rewards, Workday, Finance and IT teams.
• Manage Workday updates, integrations and repairs, partnering with IT, vendors and other SMEs as needed.
• Generate and deliver Workday reports and dashboards for end users and auditors.
• Manage, refine and troubleshoot Workday business processes and workflows.
• Oversee and support Workday integrations with internal systems and external vendors.
• Analyze data to identify company and system trends, making recommendations to Leadership for process and system improvements; identify opportunities for automation to increase efficiencies.
• Implement, manage and report on security protocols ensuring compliance.
• Manage Workday application upgrades and bi-annual updates, including planning, testing and rollout.

Core Competencies:

• Expertise in Workday modules such as HCM Core, Talent, Reporting, Security etc.
• Experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Web Services (SOAP/REST).
• Strong experience in custom report development and dashboards.
• Proven ability to manage tenant settings, domain security policies, and business process configurations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, facilitating requirement gathering, design reviews, security reviews and decision-making with functional leaders to drive Workday enhancements and initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Workday architecture and support/implementation.
• Experience with Workday Extend for building custom applications (preferred).
• Familiarity with Workday AI features and their application in HR processes (preferred).
• Workday certifications (e.g., Workday Pro, Integration certified, etc.) (preferred).
• Experience with Workday HCM or similar HRIS Applications, Integration Technologies and Workday Reporting (preferred).

• Knowledge of Peoplesoft HRIS (preferred).

   

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $114,750-153,000.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $121,500-162,000.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is $113,250-151,000.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $101,250-135,000.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $102,750-137,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
