Job Details

As a Data Engineer on Stryker’s Customer Intelligence Data Engineering team, you will ​assist in providing tactical execution and delivery of projects within the data engineering project portfolio. You will also help with requirements gathering for new data transformations, build ETL pipelines based on user/project requirements, and develop data dictionaries and other documentation needs for data assets.  

What You Will Do 

  • ​Assist in executing data engineering projects within the Customer Intelligence portfolio to meet defined timelines and deliverables. 
  • Gather and document requirements for new data transformations and ensure alignment with business objectives.  
  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines based on user and project specifications to enable reliable data movement.  
  • Develop and update technical documentation for key systems and data assets.
  • Work with the Data Governance team on developing data dictionaries and other data quality tools.
  • Support problem-solving by performing root cause analysis and evaluating potential solutions against requirements.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data architecture supports business opportunities.    
  • Monitor and optimize workflows and pipelines for efficiency and scalability. 

What You Will Need 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field. 
  • Competency in at least one programming language used in data engineering (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark). 
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes, pipeline creation, and data warehouse architecture. 
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and data structures. 
  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms and tools (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP). 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science. 
  • Exposure to Agile/DevOps practices and version control tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab). 
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native tools for data storage and distributed computing. 

$69,100.00 - $107,400.00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
