- 4 years of experience in tax.
Preferred qualifications:
- Industry Tax engines certification.
- Experience working with engineering teams and system deployment life-cycle.
- Knowledge of global tax engines.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and their various modules.
Google's in-house tax team knows all things corporate tax. Made up of smart, perceptive Googlers with a flair for domestic, international, and sales and use tax, the knowledge and expertise of this team runs deep. You have years of experience in this field and an extensive knowledge of those tax issues most relevant to internet companies. While we don't give our Googlers individual tax advice, you make it easy for Googlers to get what they need to make good tax decisions. You find ways to work smarter by streamlining and automating our tax processes and systems, and find ways to be both innovative and compliant.
In this role, you will support the implementation of best practices and enhance the effectiveness of Google's tax systems, processes, and controls. You will be working with cross-functional Engineering and Tax teams helping to shape the internal transaction tax systems as well as supporting new projects.

- Integrate, design, configure, and implement tax software solutions for enterprise applications and billing systems.
- Develop processes for ongoing maintenance global indirect tax logic rules in tax engine procurement and retail content.
- Gather global indirect tax business requirements and prepare functional specification documents for tax engine integration with multiple systems.
- Provide guidance and support the business and product areas as to systems and process impact resulting from changes in global tax rules/regulations.
- Work with internal teams in prioritizing system changes, feature requests, and system improvements and testing.
