Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a research and development facility with around 500 R&D engineers, specialists, and experts, who focus on creating and sustaining digital solutions, new products and technology. This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification. The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore. IDC collaborates with the R&D and Research centers of Hitachi Energy, which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries. In the past 20 years, IDC has secured more than 200 international papers and 150+ patents.
Mission Statement:
Hitachi Energy is looking to expand the R&D teams, with engineers, managers, who can take the technology to the next level. “IN-MACH,” Chennai, India is one of the R&D centers globally, for HVDC MACH Control Platform, performing Software Development, Testing and Cybersecurity activities. The below position is for the Chennai, India, location.
Your Responsibilities:
Communicate and interact with electronics design engineers, component engineers, software engineers and mechanical engineers.
Structure the documentation in a PLM system and create part of the documentation, Participating in the review of designs.
Be part of documentation process for technical information regarding electronics components.
Obsolescence information to be used as base for electronics product life cycle decisions.
Make sure that correct and approved compiled software files are added in the product structure for distribution to production.
Make parameter updates in software files to match the version information for the concerned product structure.
Make sure that correct and approved mechanical documentation is included correctly in the product structure.

Your Background:
Graduate in engineering or similar in the field of Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics.
More than 4 years of proven experience in product life cycle management of HW, Component engineering.
A deep interest and experience in electronic product documentation.
Experience working with advanced PLM tools.
Experience with process such as Agile / Scrum (SAFe is an added advantage).
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
