Are you ready to lead and optimize our material stores and warehouse operations? Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a dynamic Materials Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee material handlers and warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient management of raw materials and components essential for production. You’ll apply lean techniques to enhance all material stores and warehousing functions, both internally and externally, including shipping and receiving responsibilities.

How you'll make an impact:
Coordinate activities with manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, planning, and quality departments to resolve material shortages
Develop cost reduction strategies and savings plans for materials and warehouse inventory
Should drive process improvements throughout the materials organization and lead Kaizens as needed to eliminate waste and improve processes
Ensure that long range decisions are made in time to affect the desired outcomes for customer satisfaction
Develop and implement materials management instructions, policies, and procedures material delivery methods
Work closely with Quality and Engineers to perform tests on raw materials or finished products to ensure their quality at receiving
Lead and manage the warehouse staff, including training, providing feedback, resolving conflicts, and ensure timely deliveries and meeting deadlines,
Implement safety protocols for the materials management process
Communicate data points clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing

Your Background:
Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of operations and/or materials management, supply chain, or production supervisory experience
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
APICS certification preferred
Proficiency in SAP preferred
