In this key role you will be required to cement solid working relationships with our prestigious customers and support the sales team through the sales life cycle and both and manage medium to large and complex projects. You’ll represent our award- winning software solution and energy market advisory service as a credible, trusted expert. You’ll ensure Hitachi Energy meets and exceeds customer expectations. As specialist Project Manager within the energy and utility sector, focusing on ETRM software implementations, you will apply your project planning expertise and energy market knowledge to take ownership over a variety of customer projects creating tangible outcomes and measurable impact. You will drive the formal acceptance of each project, through to contract close-out and sign off by the Customer.

Your responsibilities
- Managing ETRM software implementation projects (Power, Gas, Emissions)
- Support the Sales Team with proposals for solution implementation services for Sales Opportunities
- Develop the relationship with the customer, set expectations and have oversight over an assigned team to execute the project and take ownership for the initial setup and bedding in of the software solution
- Delight Customers with successful projects via professional, on schedule quality delivery of projects to budget
- Deal with customer queries in relation to the pricing of the order, delivery and installation etc.
- Identify and report additional business opportunities for consulting when conducting an existing engagement e.g., training, site reviews, further solution rollouts etc.
- Demonstrated progressive experience with a subscription-based business model, delivering on-premises and SaaS solutions
- Demonstrate project management skills to define, schedules and plan the execution of implementation projects
- Ensure that Hitachi Energy achieves (or improves on) the planned financial return from the project i.e. return on investment
- Ensure Hitachi Energy fulfils all contractual obligations to the client in a professional, cost effective and timely manner
- Develop robust checks and measures to ensure our service meets jointly agreed expectations and enhance Hitachi Energy’s reputation to help retain and grow customers
Your background
- Bachelor’s or higher degree or acceptable equivalent related to particular business area
- 6 years + ETRM project management experience to enable you to work with our customers from a point of knowledge and expertise
- Domain knowledge and skill in ETRM, mainly energy trading lifecycle of business and functions is beneficial
- Experience with Power, Natural Gas, Renewable Energy and other commodities
- Understanding of trading lifecycle and software development/implementation to support the lifecycle
- Substantial experience in strategic project management within a customer or consulting service focused on providing enterprise software solutions
- Knowledge of project management methodologies
- Articulate and fluent communicator to elaborate through case study examples to ensure the customer is fully engaged and onboard throughout the process
- Good organisational, multi-tasking and time management skills with the ability to adhere and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across all levels
- Flexible to travel to visit customer sites as appropriate, when required
- Thrives on taking on new challenges due to the nature and complexity of our offering
- Motivates and inspires others and gains stakeholder commitment to stay on track and achieve the end goal
- Fluent in spoken and written language German and English
