The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries
Mission Statement:
Project Engineering focuses on designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing an engineering-based project, preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc. Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to complete the project. May include preparing engineering standards, designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors An Experienced Professional (P2) applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
Your Responsibilities:
Import and export customer data according to database documentation, product data standards and procedures.
Provide technical and/or business assistance to identify, evaluate and develop customer data models.
Develop, coordinate and implement plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing.
Monitor, document and assist in post-implementation problems solving and providing solutions.
Create description of steps taken to modify system and procedures required to implement new software.
Create or assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions and procedures.
Cooperate with other teams in different business units and locations - international travel required (up to 15%)

Your background:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or electrical engineering.
Must have 3 to 5 years of experience.
Knowledge of database (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and database management tools (SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Developer).
Data modelling and validation skills.
Understanding of operating systems (Windows and Linux).
Experience with SCADA systems and programming.
Ability to work independently and within the framework of a team.
Knowledge of electrical power engineering.
