- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, risk analysis, investigations, cybersecurity, content review or related fields.
- Experience in fraud, risk or spam investigations, content operations, content moderation, policy enforcement, program management, operations management, process design, or consulting.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or a scripting/programming language (e.g., Python).
- Experience with machine learning.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.
Trust and Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.
- Lead well-defined projects to resolve complicated abuse- and harm-fighting and mitigation problems, and build trusted user experiences, with iterative improvements to systems and processes.
- Escalate complex challenges to senior team members or managers in a timely manner and assist in addressing those challenges by supporting senior team members.
- Utilize policy knowledge and product expertise to implement and execute enforcement strategies.
- Advocate an idea or state a position, despite dissent, and demonstrate an ability to try new approaches while learning from mistakes and collaborate globally, across and beyond Trust and Safety (T&S), to advance common goals.
- Review and manage escalations from graphic and controversial video content in line with Community Guidelines. This role will be exposed to graphic, controversial, or upsetting content.
