GitLab is a remote company (yes!) that is an open source tool used by developers to create and manage code bases collaboratively.
They started in 2012, when their cofounder, Dimitry, saw a problem with options for git repository management. Since then, they've seen amazing growth and have established credibility with companies, both large and small, by helping them move to Git and build better software.
GitLab is committed to results, transparency, sharing, freedom, efficiency, frugality, collaboration, directness, kindness, diversity, boring solutions, and quirkiness. Most importantly, they value their team just as much as they do their product and clients. They regularly hold diversity events to make sure everyone feels included and valued.
