The Recycling Partnership is a rapidly growing, action-focused nonprofit, overhauling the U.S recycling system and activating a circular economy for packaging. We work on the ground with thousands of communities to transform underperforming recycling programs and tackle circular economy challenges. We work with companies to make their packaging more circular and help them meet their climate and sustainability goals. And we work with government to develop the policy solutions that will address the systemic needs of our residential recycling system.

Our Team — inside our organization, we foster a culture of belonging through inclusion efforts and commit to diversifying both staff and board through thoughtful, intentional recruitment and continuous learning. The spirit and essence of DEI is embedded in all of our actions, values, and communications.

Our Work — we are working with communities to increase equitable recycling access, education, and participation while conducting much-needed research to fully understand those gaps, so we can best support BIPOC populations who are historically under-served and under-supported. We are integrating a multicultural lens into all of our workstreams to ensure consideration of diverse perspectives is a core part of our mission.

Our Industry — within our industry, we are supporting the advancement of people of color through the creation of a fellowship program. By bringing young, brilliant minds into this historically monochromatic industry, we will propel the diversification and equitable representation of all people that make up the cultural mosaic that is America.
