Meet The Speakers

Martta Howard
Martta Howard
Distinguished Program Manager, Chief of Staff Experience Engineering

Martta Howard is a Distinguished Program Manager and Chief of Staff for Experience Engineering. Since joining Expedia Group in 2017, she led the Vrbo Product Operations organization responsible for planning, building, and facilitating internal events, including strategic planning and regular product reviews. She has held multiple operations roles across product, engineering, and design teams, most recently conceiving and launching the Design Program Management discipline and leading Design Operations. She previously worked for a decade in project controls and project management for organizations ranging from a large government contractor to a boutique custom software development firm before moving into development and operations roles. Martta has focused her career on the organization and optimization of people and resources to solve complex problems. Martta graduated from Virginia Tech with bachelor's and master’s degrees in Industrial and Systems Engineering. She is based in Austin, Texas.

My name is Adrianna Narvaiz, and I am a Program Associate with the TPSP Call Center Program Team. My current work experience involves data analysis and visualization, and I specialize in using Microsoft's power platform: PowerBi, Power Automate, and PowerApps. As a detribalized Latina, I am passionate about supporting and building community. Outside of work, I read, crochet, and study astrology.

Samantha Rae Lopez

Digital Channels Manager

Former indie film producer Samantha Rae Lopez is the Digital Channels Manager on the Industry Relations team. Her remit includes managing social media advertising for top-of-funnel B2B initiatives and producing the Powering Travel podcast, the first podcast of its kind. Samantha’s dedication to I&D efforts at Expedia Group started as an Ally Skills Facilitator, an Inclusion Champion, and LEAD (Latinx at Expedia and Allies for Development) Austin chapter board member. She now sits on the LEAD Global Board as Communications Chair.

Outside of work, her advocacy continues through her creative projects as a co-founder of the Tejanas in Film collective focused on increasing Latina representation in the media industry on and off the screen. She volunteers annually as a screener for various film festivals including Cine Las Americas International Film Festival and Fantastic Fest. As a podcaster, her hosting and producing skills can be heard on multiple podcasts across the internet such as Her most recent show Texas Film in Focus, a 12-part series highlighting the various aspects of the film industry in Texas.

She holds a BS in Film Production from Full Sail University with a focus on assistant directing and production management.

CRM Manager

Emily Bearrow is a CRM Manager working on the Traveler Engagement and Loyalty Marketing team with a specific focus on retargeting travelers who are actively shopping. She has been at EG for 7 ½ hours - initially starting with the vacation rental brand HomeAway (aka Vrbo). With over a decade of marketing experience, she is focusing this year on honing her skills of strategic program development, creating highly personalized marketing interactions and partnering with MarTech teams to better outline and improve dynamic capabilities. In addition to her day-to-day role within Expedia, she is an active participant in the Return from Maternity Leave group - a subgroup of the Women in Expedia Learning and Leading IBG. A mother of 1 ½ year old twin girls, Emily has a deep desire to help support new moms returning to work and juggling the unique challenges of post-partum life with a specific focus on mothers of multiples (MoMs) and moms with complicated breastfeeding journeys or battling PPD/PPA. She's also a pup mom to 2 Aussiedoodles, an avid baker, and a french fry and wine enthusiast.
