Joel Salas
Director, Engineering

Joel is the Director of Engineering for Yelp’s Compute Platform group, which is responsible for enabling developers at Yelp to run their software products in Yelp’s infrastructure.. Before Yelp, Joel led the Platform team at in Los Angeles. Joel grew up in Chula Vista, CA and now lives in Oakland with his partner Esther and their goldendoodle Zoey.

Full Stack Software Engineer
Roxana is a software engineer, she has been working at Yelp for almost two years for the Biz MultiLoc Attribution team. During this time, she has helped Yelp customers better understand their return on investment when investing in Yelp ads. Prior to joining Yelp, Roxana worked for and also as a contractor for Electronic Arts and Intel. She grew up in Ushuaia, Argentina. She received her Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba in Argentina. Roxana is currently based in Hamburg, Germany. She enjoys traveling and doing outdoor activities in her free time.

iOS Developer — Services Trust

Julio is a software engineer currently working in iOS for the Services Trust team, which is the team responsible for providing trust and protection so users feel safe when hiring service professionals on Yelp by giving users a money back guarantee with Yelp Guaranteed. He used to be a middle and high school ICT teacher when he decided to change to software development. He’s from Mexico City and currently living in Tijuana.
