When I graduated summer of 2015 with a degree in molecular biology, I learned that I held no interest in the careers relevant to my degree. Instead, I wanted to learn about the internal workings of technologies that I had depended on for most of my daily routines. But wasn’t I a little too late? If this realization came sooner, I would have had the time to change my major — or at least pursue a minor in computer science. Despite the uncertainties ahead of me, I took the leap to make this my next career. During this chat, I want to share with you how I reached the stepping stone into a software engineering career and tips along the way.
