Susan Kendall
Susan Kendall
Chief Financial Officer, Global Consumer Banking at Citi

Susan was named Chief Financial Officer of Citi’s Global Consumer Banking business in June 2019.

Previously, she was Head of Investor Relations from 2012 to 2019, where she was responsible for

managing Citi's relationships with institutional investors and research analysts in both the equity and

fixed income markets. Susan was the senior sponsor of Citi’s Financial Management Associate and

Analyst programs from 2016 to 2019, and she remains integrally involved in the recruiting and

development of future Finance leaders. She is also the executive sponsor for Citi’s Women in Finance

program.

Prior to joining Citi in 2009, Susan served as Senior Vice President, Investor Relations for Lehman

Brothers, Inc. From 2005 to 2008, she was a senior banker in equity capital markets, responsible for

structuring and marketing equity securities for corporate clients in the retail and consumer sectors. Shejoined Lehman Brothers in 1998 in investment banking, where she advised clients on M&A and capital raising activities.

Susan received her MBA from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a BA from

Duke University. She is a member of the YWCA Academy of Women Leaders (2018) and the David

Rockefeller Fellows program (2019).

Alison Beard is a senior editor at Harvard Business Review, overseeing the Experience section of the magazine and much of its leadership and self-management content. She is the co-host of two of HBR’s podcasts, the HBR IdeaCast, a Q&A with a management expert, and Dear HBR:, which offers advice on listeners’ workplace dilemmas. Beard was previously a reporter and editor for the Financial Times in both New York and London. She was recently named to Folio:’s 2019 Class of Top Women in Media, and earned a B.A. in journalism and politics from Washington and Lee University. @alisonwbeard
