Craig Fernandes is the co-founder and CEO of Dubai-based Lock&Stock, a mobile app which helps students fight digital addiction through gamification. By locking their phones, users gain access to student offers at over 1000 partner brands and scholarships at over 1100 partner universities. Through its scholarships platform, Lock&Stock is making education more accessible and affordable for students. Since launch, the app has transferred over $2 million in scholarships to students, becoming the largest education marketplace in the UAE and GCC. In December 2020, Lock&Stock was named 'Disruption of the Year' at the Gulf Capital Awards. In 2019, Craig won the Arabian Business Future Star award and in 2021 Craig was named Young CEO of the Year (MENA) at the Global CEO Excellence Awards.
