Meet The Speakers

Sonali Gururaja
Sonali Gururaja
Partner Director of Engineering

Sonali joined the Microsoft team over 22 years ago as Senior Software Engineering Manager. Over the years, she worked her way up to the Partner Director of Engineering for the Azure Usage Billing service. In this role, she's helping to build the next-generation usage platform to report billing for all Azure services.

Sonali is a strong advocate of diversity and increasing opportunities for women in tech. She leads many initiatives at work to hire, retain and grow women in engineering and also supports and volunteers for non-profit organizations that improve the pipeline of girls entering STEM.

Senior Software Engineering Manager

Madhuri joined the Microsoft team over one year ago as a Senior Software Engineer and worked her way up to a manager. Prior, she was a Lead Software Developer at WideOrbit.

Ukachi Okoli

Senior Software Engineer

Ukachi joined the Microsoft team over one year ago as a Senior Software Engineer. Her role involves delighting customers in Azure's family of managed, secure and intelligent SQL server products and services. Prior, Ukachi was a Senior Software Engineer at IBM Watson Media.

Principal Software Engineering Manager

Jita joined the Microsoft team in April of 2021 as a Principal Software Engineering Manager/ Director. She has 14+ years of experience in enterprise software development and 5+ years in management, testing, maintenance, customer engagements and marketing platforms for worldwide events. Prior, Jita was an R&D Leader at VMware.

Principal Software Engineer

Genevieve has been with Microsoft for over 19 years. In 2002, she joined as a Software Design Engineer for Windows Kernel and worked her way up to a Principal Software Engineer for Azure Cosmos DB.

Sandhya Vijayachandran

Engineering Manager

Sandhya joined Microsoft 14 years ago as a Software Development Engineer in Test and currently serves as an Engineering Manager within Azure Purview. Her role involves enabling customers to run hadoop, hbase and other open-source big data solutions on Azure. Sandhya has over 8 years of experience in building and testing large-scale distributed storage solutions.
