Role Description
Morgan Stanley’s Technology organization seeks an experienced candidate to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Cyber, Data, Risk and Resilience (CDRR) COO office, ensuring a follow-the-sun support model.
In this global role, the candidate will work as part of the Strategy, Executive Reporting and Communications team to support the execution of division-wide priorities, the coordination of divisional communications and special projects, and governance of external engagement requests.
The ideal candidate should be flexible, highly adaptable to a constantly changing environment, and an excellent team player. The candidate will work in a global team that plays a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency, governance, and compliance with growing regulatory demands.
Key Responsibilities
· Divisional Communications:
o Help execute CDRR’s divisional communications strategy, including leading content creation and technical storytelling, drafting organizational announcements, helping execute quarterly Open Forums, and coordination of major comms campaigns.
o Govern CDRR’s Technology External Engagements process, including tracking of submissions, driving content reviews, and supporting ongoing process optimization.
· Executive Reporting:
o Support the creation of impactful and comprehensive executive presentations for senior management, Risk Committees, and the Board of Directors.
· Portfolio Governance & Program Management Office:
o Provide key operational support to the Program Management Office to generate monthly CDRR strategic program reports.
o Support the Chief Operating Officer of the Division and Divisional Head of Strategy in orchestrating forums / practices to ensure Project / Program Managers are providing clear and concise monthly reporting updates and tracking progress against key performance metrics.
· Strategy Design & Execution:
o Support the maintenance of the CDRR’s divisional strategy, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure programmatic alignment and address evolving business priorities and regulatory requirements.
Skills Required:- 7 years of experience as a content/technical writer preferred with a communications, media or journalism background.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including tact and diplomacy and excellent writing skills including the ability to tailor messaging to all levels of the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize, simplify and explain complex problems to different types of audiences with varied technical skills.
- Prior exposure to working cross-functionally with global teams of product managers, engineers, designers, project managers, and other senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize time accordingly.
- Strong process management skills and direct experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders at one time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to the changing needs of the CDRR CIO and COO as they arise.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office including PowerPoint, One Note, and Teams
- Technology, Risk / Regulatory, or Strategy background a plus
