We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Director in Institutional Securities Fixed Income Operations who will be responsible for supervising the Global Loans Secondary Trade Closing team members in coordinating with trade counterparties and clients to receive and review loan trade documentation while managing a trading portfolio of secondary loan trades.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Supervisor position at Director level within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you’ll do in the role:
• Serve as the primary supervisor within specific line or project area with accountability to associated risks
• Manage direct reports, leading 1:1s and career development, attracting and retaining high quality talent in line with our leadership commitments
• Review resources to ensure adequate coverage to deliver BAU commitments, highlighting current and future needs to manager
• Share expert knowledge across the team, contributing to team output and ensuring diverse viewpoints are heard
• Assist the closing team in managing the trade closing process through communication with custodians, admin agents , counterparties, and fund administrators while maintaining minimal operational risk
• Operate and understand proprietary trading systems as well as external trading platforms such as ClearPar & Virtus Trade Settlement as it pertains to the loan trading function
• Interact with senior members of the Loan Trading desk, Legal, Sales, and Operations groups in order to deliver solutions for Morgan Stanley's clients
• Managing stakeholder interaction, both internal and external and managing client escalations with the teamProvide management with daily updates on activities, review issues within the assigned portfolio, and dimension solutions to achieve client satisfaction and targeted goals
What you’ll bring to the role:

• Ability to pitch communication appropriately according to the audience and demonstrate active listening skills

• Ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlines
• Understanding of Loan Syndication and Trading Association (LSTA) documentation and guidelines and a thorough understanding of the mechanisms which govern the corporate loan market
• Familiarity with Par loan trading market convention
• Strong problem solving, research and analytical skills with the ability and willingness to work in a structured, high paced environment, with daily routine operations
• Must obtain Series 99 license if supervising a covered function
• At least 4 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Role is hybrid and will require in office attendance 3 days/week.

Salary range for the position: $80,000 - $104,000 Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
