This position will report to our EnerSys Energy Systems business, which serves the telecom, cable broadband, industrial, renewable, and data center markets. Our portfolio combines our stored energy expertise with power systems, enclosures, and renewable energy products to deliver world-class solutions for diverse applications such as 5G, broadband, Internet of Things (IoT), data center, and solar power. Mission

Lead EnerSys’ data center sales strategy to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen relationships with OEM’s, hyperscale, enterprise, and colocation customers. Focus areas include lithium UPS solutions, integrated battery systems, and lifecycle services aligned with EnerSys’ growth targets and competitive positioning.

Job Purpose

Manage strategic accounts and channel partners in the data center segment, develop tailored solutions, and execute go-to-market strategies. Responsibilities include quota attainment, pipeline development, and collaboration with engineering and product teams to deliver innovative energy storage solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

⦁    Sales Leadership: Own revenue targets for the data center segment across North America; drive quarterly sales attainment and forecast accuracy.
⦁    Strategic Account Management: Build and maintain relationships with hyperscale, enterprise, and colocation operators as well as OEM partners; negotiate complex contracts and pricing.
⦁    Market Development: Identify emerging trends in lithium UPS and modular power systems; drive adoption of new products (NPI) and solution bundles.
⦁    Team Collaboration: Partner with Marketing and Product teams to align offerings with customer needs; enable channel partners and co-marketing initiatives.
⦁    Financial Accountability: Manage P&L for the segment, including forecasting, margin optimization, and deal review governance.

Qualifications

⦁    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
⦁    10+ years in data center or critical power sales leadership.
⦁    Proven success in hyperscale/enterprise account management and complex deal negotiations.
⦁    Strong technical understanding of UPS systems, lithium technology, and energy storage.
⦁    Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

⦁    Revenue Growth: $25M incremental revenue from the data center segment in the first 12 months.
⦁    Forecast Attainment: 100% of quarterly SIOP forecast.
⦁    Pipeline Development: $75M qualified pipeline within 6 months.
⦁    Customer Engagement: 90% engagement score based on meetings, follow-ups, and feedback.
⦁    NPI Adoption: 50% adoption rate for new lithium UPS products within 12 months of launch.

90-Day Action Plan

1.    Phase 1: Discovery & Alignment (Days 1–30): Onboard with leadership and stakeholders; review current pipeline, top accounts, and partner agreements; analyze competitive landscape; build relationships with internal teams and key accounts.
2.    Phase 2: Strategy Development (Days 31–60): Define account segmentation for OEM’s, hyperscale, enterprise, and colocation; prioritize top 10 strategic accounts with tailored engagement plans; build partner enablement framework; draft revenue forecast and margin plan.
3.    Phase 3: Execution (Days 61–90): Engage top 3 strategic accounts with executive-level meetings; launch targeted TPPL, Service and lithium UPS campaigns with Marketing; implement KPI dashboard; begin negotiations for at least one major deal and secure preliminary commitments.

General Job Requirements

  • This position will work in an office setting, expect minimal physical demands.
  • Must be able and willing to do overnight travel
  • This position requires you to drive a company vehicle. Therefore, you must be able to pass the company’s driving requirements. Certain vehicles may also require a specific drivers license and have additional driving requirements.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions.
