Visa is seeking an analyst to support the development, enhancement, and ongoing management of foundational Data Governance platforms at Visa. This position reports to the Director of Knowledge Management within the Global Data Office. As an analyst for the Data Governance platforms, you will contribute to the vision, optimization, and continuous improvement of some of Visa’s most important data platforms. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, data science, business intelligence, privacy, and governance teams to ensure the Data Governance platforms delivers accurate, high‑quality, well‑documented data that enables a broad range of use cases across Visa. You will partner with business stakeholders to understand their data needs, analyze pain points, gather and synthesize feedback, and help translate requirements into actionable improvements. This position offers the opportunity to influence how data is organized, discovered, and used across the company, contributing to the future of payment data and supporting innovation at Visa.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the data governance platform(s) backlog and roadmap, aligning with the overall data strategy and business objectives
- Spearhead awareness and adoption and improve user experience (UX) with the development and organization user-facing collateral
- Work closely with Data/AI Policy & Governance and Privacy stakeholders to prioritize key initiatives positioning Data Governance platforms as central to the Visa Data Lifecycle implementation
- Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and validation of system changes for the global systems in coordination with business process owners.
- Develop and analyze platform KPI’s reporting for communication and distribution with our leadership and platform stakeholders
- Experiment with new tools and technologies that can further enhance capabilities or provide the ability to easily integrate with on-prem and cloud architecture
- Communicate the data governance platform(s) vision, value proposition, and roadmap to internal stakeholders, including senior executives, and business partners
- Coordinate with various business units, product leaders, engineering teams, and other relevant groups to ensure seamless execution
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
3-5 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
3-5 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or more than 3 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
Strong product development skills with a sound understanding of payment technology and other ecosystem requirements or emerging technologies, especially AI
Experience of working with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing and communications
Excellent communication skills with organizational and leadership abilities to influence, negotiate and drive results
Aptitude to collaborate with engineering teams to build robust, reliable and scalable data governance platform solutions
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools and software
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong project management and organization with the ability to independently lead workstreams
Knowledge of Agile (Scrum) or SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) project methodology and practices
Advanced degree desirable
