Failure Analysis Engineer Responsibilities:
- Define failure analysis action plan and perform detailed root cause analysis on technically complex failures from reliability test and NPI
- Cross-correlate data from various techniques to drive towards conclusions
- Prepare clear, logic and professional failure analysis report to help root cause finding
- On-the-ground support at manufacturing partners sites
- Work with external partner labs to supplement lab capability when necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master degree or higher in physics, chemistry, materials science, mechanical engineering, or related field, PhD is preferred
- 2+ years experience in failure analysis, material characterization, or product development
- Hands-on work in one or multiple FA tools, including x-ray imaging (2D X-ray/CT Scan), microscopy, SEM, FTIR, sample preparation, XPS, etc.
- Passion to learn new skills and experience
- This position can have up to 30% domestic/international travel to external labs/manufacturing partner/US headquarter

- Experience working in a laboratory environment
- Project management skills
- Knowledge in consumer electronics and high volume manufacturing environment
