We are a leading asset management company seeking a Digital Procurement Lead to join our growing, dynamic team. The Global Procurement team has invested in and is implementing new Sourcing, Contract Lifecycle Management and Process Orchestration solutions to supplement Invesco’s Supplier Onboarding & Risk Management and Requisition-to-Pay technologies.
Your Role
Reporting to the Head of Procurement Strategy & Execution, this pivotal role will manage and continuously improve the procurement technology landscape from a business perspective to enable our Procurement strategic vision. You will drive and execute the Global Procurement digital strategy to drive innovation, reduce costs, enhance process efficiency, foster supplier collaboration, mitigate risks and optimize strategic sourcing to deliver improved procurement ROI, spend under management, savings rate, spend sourced and spend compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge across the intake-to-pay cycle including category strategy, sourcing methodology, supplier risk management, supplier contract management and buying channels and be at the forefront of digital transformation, leveraging technology to streamline procurement processes, improve efficiency, create frictionless user-journeys and drive cost savings across the organization.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Digital procurement technology: Drive, execute and enhance the procurement technology landscape across intake-to-requisition including category strategy, sourcing methodology, supplier risk management, supplier contract management and buying channels
Strategic improvements: Identify and implement strategic improvements within the procurement technology landscape to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve supplier relationships. This includes staying abreast of the latest digital procurement trends and technologies. Identify, assess and configure process enhancements across the procurement tech-stack aligned to, or to drive policy improvements to meet and exceed KPI targets
Collaboration and leadership: Work closely with Procurement, IT, Finance and other key stakeholders to ensure solutions are fully integrated and aligned with Invesco’s overall business objectives.
Alignment to Procurement strategy: Build and maintain end-to-end workflows aligned to Category and Buying Channel strategies. Ensure platform configuration alignment to business process, Global Procurement policy and operating model designs
System configuration: Support the non-technical configuration of the solutions within the procurement tech stack throughout implementation. Post-implementation, take ownership of all non-technical solution configurations, prioritize
Scaling the strategy: Lead cross-functional teams to drive the adoption of digital procurement tools and practices. Drive opportunities for further consolidation of systems and processes across Invesco’s portfolio of niche solutions
Digital solution supplier management: Oversee relationships with technology suppliers and service providers ensuring they meet agreed upon service levels and deliverables. Manage supplier performance to ensure they are contributing to the Procurement vision. Partner with Sourcing & Category management to negotiate contracts and renewals.
Data analysis and reporting: Utilize data analytics to monitor procurement activities and performance. Generate insights and reports to inform decision-making and demonstrate the value added by procurement technologies. Diagnose problems and develop effective solutions
Innovation and continuous improvement: Foster a culture of innovation within the procurement team. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes through automation, AI, and leveraging the enhancements delivered by our selected solutions.
Change management: Lead change management initiatives related to digital procurement to ensure smooth transitions and high levels of adoption within the organization
Compliance and risk management: Ensure all procurement technology solutions comply with regulatory requirements and company policies. Identify and mitigate risks associated with digital procurement.
Governance: Ensure adequate documentation of platform reporting, analytics and dashboard configurations is maintained
The Experience You Bring:
Bachelor's degree: Advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, Computer Science/IT or related areas are desirable, or equivalent demonstrable professional experience
5 + years of experience in Procurement with a minimum of 3 years of experience with Digital Procurement/Procurement Technology Implementation
Deep experience of procurement processes and practices across Category Management, Sourcing Strategy, Major Deal Governance, Procurement Operations, Contract Lifecycle Management, Requisition to Pay and Supplier Risk, particularly for indirect spend
Experience in a Procurement process or technology management role
Experience with leading projects, especially transformation and change management activities
Digital mindset and a dedication to user experience
LEAN and Design Thinking or equivalent experience
Strong communication and influencing skills, ability to network internally and externally
Experience with leading Sourcing, CLM and Process Orchestration/Workflow capabilities, preferably Globality, Ironclad and/or Zip respectively.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, as needed.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to deliver clear, well-structured presentations: Senior Executive Level presence is required
Good command of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
