DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Shop Operations Team Manager to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Seymour, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead daily production operations , ensuring team performance meets established targets for output, quality, and safety.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment by promoting housekeeping standards and implementing safety best practices.
- Collaborate across functions to identify and implement improvements in productivity, efficiency, and overall operational performance.
- Serve as a project lead on key initiatives, coordinating resources and guiding teams to successful completion of assignments.
- Provide clear direction and expectations to team members, ensuring responsibilities are understood and goals are achieved.
- Deliver constructive feedback and coaching , supporting individual development and enhancing team capability.
- Mentor and develop team members , fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Champion quality and process excellence , ensuring adherence to standards and driving initiatives that improve operational outcomes.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university or equivalent degree required, or equivalent experience required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Supervisory experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Information:
- Role Expectations: The selected candidate should be available to work On-site, 2 nd Shift 3pm-12am (Sunday-Thursday).
- Oversee machining operations for 78L/95L blocks at the Seymour Machining Center, ensuring production goals are met.
- Provide coaching and guidance to hourly DWU employees to promote safe practices, high-quality output, and efficient performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze root causes and business needs, making informed production decisions to achieve targets.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork by actively listening, offering constructive feedback, and supporting peers and cross-functional partners.
- Document and address issues such as work rule violations, quality defects, and safety incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Participate in and report updates during meetings relevant to assigned responsibilities and operational areas.
- Leverage prior production or machining leadership experience to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Maintain an onsite presence at Seymour Machining Center, working a Sunday–Thursday schedule to support team and production needs.
