The Opportunity
Users tell us they love our product, and we need talented, energetic Account Executives to bring our vision for a better way of learning to more teachers, administrators, and their organizations across the Midwest and Pacific Northwest.
In this remote role, persistence, resilience, and self-discipline are key requirements, but you must be based within the territory, willing to travel, and eligible to work in the US.
What you’ll do
- The “AE” is responsible for a geographic sales region and converts inbound leads and outbound prospects into Kami customers
- Consistently achieve quarterly sales targets
- Research school district prospects, identify key stakeholders, and generate interest in Kami as a “need-to-have” solution
- Utilize email, phone, and video-conferencing applications to engage with and nurture prospects throughout the buying process
- Take responsibility for converting marketing-qualified leads
- Become a trusted partner for both prospects and existing customers
- Employ and optimize repeatable sales techniques
- Provide feedback to sales leadership to ensure constant process improvement
- Utilize CRM and marketing automation applications to record, analyze, optimize, and automate your sales activities
- Discovery, determine needs, demo Kami, and negotiate pricing
- Attend state and national education conferences (travel <25%)
- Share your EdTech or teaching experiences with the team, and collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams to achieve your goals
What you’ll bring

- Minimum two (2) years of success in a sales role, ideally in a K-12 EdTech (or SaaS) environment; K-12 teaching experience is a plus (Two plus years preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A strong work ethic and winning attitude
- A consultative sales approach and the ability to build rapport quickly
- Passion for educating prospects and closing new opportunities
- A knack for asking great discovery questions to uncover new opportunities for Kami across the territory
- College degree or relevant experience
- A self-starter with a documented track record of success
