And that makes Business Resource Groups (BRGs) essential to the employee experience. Sometimes known as Employee Resource Groups, BRGs create a sense of community, bringing together people with similar experiences and backgrounds in a supportive, inclusive space. These connections promote engagement and nurture a more positive work environment.
EnerSys' multiple affinity groups are employee-driven, bringing allies together and encouraging teammates to bring their best, most authentic selves to work. Patricia Gamboa-Cazares, Senior Supplier Quality Manager-Americas, Christina Sivulka, Global Sustainability Manager, and Abigail Wissmann, Learning Solutions Developer at EnerSys, will discuss their BRG experiences. In addition, they'll share best practices and how they've navigated challenges along the way.

Meet The Speakers
Abigail (Abbie) is currently a Learning Solutions Developer with EnerSys. Abbie has been a member of their Women in Leadership (WiL) Committee since its inception in 2019 and has been an active member ever since. She became a co-chair of the committee in August 2022. This employee driven group concentrates its efforts on supporting the professional development of women and shaping a culture of diversity, inclusion and belonging.
Patricia (Patty) was born and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico, and joined EnerSys 4 years ago as a Sr. Supplier Quality Manager for the Americas.
She has been an active member and Co-Chair of EnerSys’ Hispanic/Latinx Organization for Leadership in Action (HOLA) committee since it’s inception on April 2022. This employee-driven group’s mission is to develop a network of employees who celebrate the Hispanic/Latinx heritage by creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for the members and the local communities they serve. HOLA offers educational opportunities, networking, cultural events, and social gatherings.
Christina Sivulka is currently a Global Sustainability Manager at EnerSys. Christina created their Green Leadership Opportunities Working (GLOW) group in April 2023. GLOW was created for company leaders interested in sustainability who are also eager to learn more and help excel and amplify our sustainability program at EnerSys.
