Navigating career growth requires self-awareness, determination, and a willingness to adapt to ever-changing circumstances and challenges. But how can you serve your aspirations and goals – and enjoy the journey along the way?
It comes down to being clear and intentional about what you want and where you’re going.
Jamar Wilson, Director of Organizing and Advocacy Partnerships, Cristina Lamas, Director of Strategic Operations, and Guilherme Ferreira, Lead Data Engineer at Murmuration, will join us for a compelling conversation about connections, self-advocacy, and stepping outside your comfort zone to achieve not only growth but career happiness.
They’ll share how they’ve adapted to remote environments by building relationships while confronting social anxiety barriers and advise on making yourself and your work visible. You’ll take away:
You’ll be inspired and rejuvenated to continue on your career path!
Jamar enjoys providing both technical and strategic support to people and organizations to spark their political plans. As the Director of Organizing and Advocacy Partnerships at Murmuration, Jamar gets to work directly with organizing and advocacy partners to help achieve their campaign goals.
Jamar has spent his entire career working in K-12 education, as a teacher, special education administrator, and community organizer. He even ran for school board in New Orleans, using Murmuration’s campaign tools, because he knew how much we needed school board members that had actual experience working in public education.
Outside of work, you can find Jamar cooking, rooting for his University of Georgia Bulldogs, or reading the latest science fiction book.
Guilherme Ferreira (Gui for short) is a Lead Data Engineer at Murmuration, focusing on designing, building, and maintaining multiple big data pipelines that process our partner's data.
