Meet The Speaker
As CEO of uShip, Heather Hoover-Salomon is responsible for maintaining and accelerating the company’s growth, adapting to the shifting needs of its customers, and ensuring the supply-and-demand balance of the uShip marketplace. An expert in shipping and logistics technology, Hoover-Salomon is the longest-tenured employee at uShip, having started her career in 2005 as a public relations and marketing intern. Since joining the company, she has served in several other key leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer, overseeing human resources, recruiting, facilities, customer operations, legal, risk and payments, product and development, and data analytics. Most recently, Hoover-Salomon was interim CEO at uShip until she accepted the position full-time in May of 2023. Hoover-Salomon holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Texas at Austin.
