Think you need to live in a tech hub to work in tech? Think again. After my one year stay in my hometown became permanent, I thought my dream to become a developer was lost. In reality, it was just delayed a few years until an open-source project helped me find the confidence and motivation needed to land a remote job.
You will walk away from this chat with:
How do you pick a project with good people?
What’s the main challenge in becoming a developer?
how did you select your opensource project to contribute? What research did you do?
I'd just like to observe, thank you for this opportunity!
Can't wait to learn about Golfo's experience! :-)
After 12 yrs of working in software development.. is it too late to do open source development?
Did you have any other assignment or job at the time you were working on this?
Do you also present remote part-time work possibilities?
Are you a self-taught frontend developer, did you use a code camp, or did you take regular courses? Thank you.
How do you market your skills differently for a remote job when applying? How do you stand out from other candidates? What's different in the remote job hiring process?
You are great my dear northern friend!
Have you got a course or education to increase design ability outside of programming? How do you follow new trends of frontend development? How much time did it take to get used to work remotely?
