For many beginners in the data analytics field, the first analytics project can be challenging, because there seems to be an ocean of information from various scattered sources, all sounding important. Although there is no end to learning, there is a generalized template that everyone could use to get started (and ship!) It is all about walking through the entire process. Hopefully, you can walk away from this session with a better understanding of what you need to focus on to deliver a satisfactory first project.
I will cover the following steps:
- Objective and scope: What makes a meaningful analysis?
- Data wrangling: It’s less scary than you think; what do I need to do?
- Exploratory Analysis: What are the steps and how do I evaluate them?
- Visualization: What do I need to present?
- Recommendation: What does your boss care to know?
