Networking

SUPPORTING VETERANS, SERVICE MEMBERS, AND MILITARY SPOUSES

Start the day right with a virtual networking hour where we pair you with another attendee using the latest “Gatheround” technologies. If you're shy, we understand. That’s why we're doing the work to make the intro happen, and we'll help the conversation flow with questions too. And perhaps you'll be paired with one of our amazing (hiring) sponsors!

From Camo to Fleece: How to Become a Founder After Your Military Service

Supporting Veterans, Service Members, and Military Spouses

If you have a good idea that’s been brewing and you’re wondering how to get it off the ground, you’ll want to attend this talk. Stephanie Taiwo, veteran and founder of Overcomers ABA Services, will discuss her experience, how military training can help you in business, and how you can retire your camo and settle into a Patagonia fleece going forward.

Stephanie Taiwo

Bridget Finkeldey

Hi there! I’m Stephanie, a 25-year-old Behavior Analyst and Army National Guard Veteran from New Jersey. I am the owner and founder of Overcomers ABA Services, an organization that provides behavioral therapy services to children with developmental disabilities on the autism spectrum. When I’m not working on behavior plans, you’ll probably catch me at the gym. I love the simple things in life such as traveling, trying new, delicious foods, and resting! Life after the military taught me the essence of embracing transitions. There’s something powerful in allowing the next season to take full effect, no matter how uncertain and difficult it can be. If there’s anything I want to accomplish, it’s to encourage others to take that first step! I am a testimony of that. As a servant of Christ, my duty to others didn’t just end with my military service. In fact, I like to believe I’m just getting started.
