Responsibilities:
This position is a hands-on test build /execution role. Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer is responsible for creating the required automation (API, UI, Functional, Non-Functional) based on project Requirements.
- Design and develop automation/performance solutions that meet organization standards and build reliable, reusable, and maintainable automated regression suites & test harnesses
- Contributes and adheres to QA best practices
- Create/Maintain tools and frameworks with quality code to simplify testing scenarios.
- Design and develop test plans, test cases based upon functional and design specifications, execute test cases, and analyze and report test results to the teams
- Work in partnership with the development teams to deliver business functionality on time with required quality that meets the acceptance criteria
- setup and maintain test automation execution runs on a scheduled basis.
- execute planned tests, report and manage defects, regress software fixes for new and existing products, and assist development with replicating and debugging problems.
What We’re Looking For:
S&P Global is looking for a strong QA Automation engineer to join Union team who will ensure that the quality of our deliverable meets and exceeds the expectations of all stakeholders and implements the established quality standards and processes. This position requires strong knowledge of automation and is highly technical. The individual should have a practical experience of working in an agile team.
- Experienced in Automation frameworks and Technologies (such as WebdriverIO, Typescript, Axios, JMeter, nodeJS, Selenium, SpecFlow etc.)
- Hands-On experience with performance testing tools
- Services: Strong exposure to Azure DevOps, Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Tools: Swagger, VSCode, Microsoft Windows
- Programming skills in at least one of the programming languages .Net, C# or Java
Basic Qualifications:
- Degree in computer science or related fields. Optionally, prior experience in software development, computer engineering, or other related fields is acceptable.
- 2+ years of strong experience in QA/testing
- Develop comprehensive test strategy, test plan and test cases
- Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, QA methodologies, defect management system, and documentation.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in automation, automation frameworks and automation delivery preferred.
- Good at setting Quality standards in various new testing technologies in the industry.
- Good at identifying and defining areas to calculate the overall risk to the project and Creating strategies to mitigate those risks and escalate as necessary.
- Excellent Analytical and communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies
