Job Description

Your job:

We are looking for our next Intern to join the Investment Operations Management team within our Real Estate Investment business in Munich for a duration of at least 6‑month!

In this role, you will support system implementations, help ensure high data quality, contribute to process automation, and deliver meaningful data insights for Invesco Real Estate’s European business. You’ll gain hands‑on experience working across business operations, technology, and data while supporting real, impactful projects in a global investment environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Treasury System Implementation
  • Support the rollout of a new treasury management system across the European business

  • Assist with onboarding and integrating banking partners

  • Help test system configurations, workflows, and reporting outputs

  • Document system processes, mappings, and functional specifications

  • Collaborate with IT and system administrators to troubleshoot issues

Rent Roll System Implementation
  • Support the deployment of a new rent roll management system across Europe

  • Assist with onboarding third-party service providers

  • Develop and document operational support processes

  • Help identify and implement automation opportunities, including the use of AI tools, to simplify data reviews and operational tasks

Data Quality Management
  • Help ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of key data sets

  • Support reference data maintenance and cleansing activities

  • Perform data collection, validation, reconciliation, and anomaly detection

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data quality issues

  • Contribute to automation initiatives to enhance data quality processes

Data Process Automation
  • Support the design and improvement of automated data flows and system integrations

  • Partner with teams across the business on automation initiatives

  • Assist with enhancing APIs, interfaces, and data pipelines (no coding required — curiosity and willingness to learn are key)

  • Test data integrations and help document outcomes

Data Analysis & Visualization
  • Create insightful reports and analyses to support business decisions

  • Help define requirements for dashboards, KPIs, and reporting automation

  • Support the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards

  • Produce ad‑hoc analyses as needed

What you can bring:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field

  • Coursework or project experience in data visualization, databases/SQL, or automation

  • Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables; Power Query preferred)

  • Power BI (data modeling basics and visual creation)

  • Basic SQL for querying and validating data

  • Python (basic scripting)

  • Exposure to financial systems, treasury systems, ERPs, databases, or data quality tools is a plus—but not required

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

  • Well-organised, proactive, and self-driven

  • Comfortable learning new systems and technologies

  • Willing to take ownership and see tasks through to completion

  • Confident collaborating with IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and third parties

  • Fluent English (required)

  • German is a plus, but not required
