We are seeking an Independence Compliance Analyst who will be responsible for maintaining the entity data in the financial relationship system and assisting professionals with adding new entities to the system. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver, have good working knowledge of various financial instruments/markets, have a background or interest in compliance and will strive to provide exceptional quality and superior customer service.

Independence & Conflicts Network
The Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN) team performs a critical consultative, quality-assurance and risk management function for the Deloitte US Firms, helping the organization remain unbiased and free from conflicts-of-interest, in fact and appearance, when providing service to attest/audit clients. Independence requirements are defined by specific sets of policies, externals rules and regulations, so maintaining both the independence of the Deloitte US Firms and personal independence is essential to the business and reputation of Deloitte. This position offers a dynamic work environment which is driven by changing financial instruments and the need for responsiveness to regulatory change. The Analyst will be expected to gain a solid understanding of financial relationships and corporate entities and will work with other departments within the Independence, Ethics, & Compliance organization, end users (Deloitte professionals with independence requirements) and other Deloitte network organization firms.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, New Jersey, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York state, Washington State, and Washington, DC, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to {insert location} and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $63,900 to $106,500.

Work You'll Do
- Gain a robust knowledge of Deloitte Policies to provide guidance to professionals, resolve customer inquiries, evaluate risk, and determine permissibility of financial relationships
- Assist with the resolution of issues that arise with the processes, system, or internal customers
- Search websites for information about corporate entities and types of products they offer
- Research new financial products and clearly articulate their characteristics to management to determine how to monitor these products in the system
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of and ability to execute internal processes and procedures for the department
The successful candidate will possess:
- Excellent verbal and written business communication skills, prior exposure to international business correspondence a plus
- Data analysis skills and attention to detail
- Self-directed, adaptable to changes in the work environment/rules/directions
- Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods
- Demonstrated initiative and good judgement
- Ability to effectively work both independently, and as part of a team, in a dynamic work environment
- Should have an interest in developing knowledge of financial products and independence policies

Qualifications
Required:
- BA/BS degree
- 1-2 Years of experience of relevant work experience in a large corporate or professional services firm
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Willing to work in person in our Stamford, CT office as required (presently two days each week but may be subject to change)
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
- Strong understanding of securities and various financial relationships (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, etc.)
