Skills and Competencies 
•    8+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering impactful, multi-team technical projects
•    Proficiency in Java and C#/.Net programming languages
•    Experience with relational databases (Postgres, SQL Server), Columnar data storage and NoSQL data stores at scale
•    Expertise in developing production-grade RESTful APIs and microservices
•    Familiarity with cloud-native applications using Docker & Kubernetes, as well as on-premise solutions
•    Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis
•    Solid grasp of software design principles, architectural best practices, and writing well-tested, high-quality code
•    Advanced knowledge of multi-threading, memory management, and query processing
•    Passion for ensuring application scalability, availability, reliability, security, and cost-effective execution
•    Resilience and adaptability in navigating organizational and technical change
•    Deep knowledge of testing strategies and system health maintenance for complex system
Education
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline—or equivalent professional experience

About the team 
The Intelligent Risk Platform team is central to Moody’s Insurance group. The team owns and develops scalable platform that spans cross-cutting concerns across all applications - like Job Management and Execution, dynamic and scalable resource pools, multi-tenant lakehouse using state of the art technologies like Kubernetes, Apache Spark and other scalable and performant query engines, Apache Iceberg, Change Data Capture, to name a few.
