Skills and Competencies
- Possesses more than 7+ years of overall experience, with 3+ years building production-grade LLM applications, leveraging expert-level Python (async programming, type hints, automated testing, profiling, performance tuning); TypeScript experience is a plus for cross-platform agent tooling.
- Expertise in agent architectures including ReAct, Chain-of-Thought (CoT), reflection loops, tool invocation, and multi-agent coordination/graph-based workflows.
- Skilled in orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGPT-style systems, and emerging agent SDKs (MCP SDK, Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agent SDK).
- Expertise in prompt and context engineering, including reasoning optimization, token budgeting, tool calling, streaming responses, batching, retries, and rate-limit management.
- Experience designing LLM API integrations (REST, gRPC, GraphQL), ensuring idempotency, error handling, and stable performance across distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience integrating vector databases (OpenSearch, Pinecone, Weaviate, etc) into LLM-powered applications for fast, relevant context retrieval.
- Deep understanding of embedding models, especially domain embeddings (e.g., Voyage Finance-2)
- Skilled in building and optimizing RAG pipelines using semantic/hierarchical chunking, hybrid search, reranking, query rewriting, and cache-aware design to maximize contextual relevance and grounding accuracy.
- Experienced in designing agent memory systems with session/long-term rollups, TTL/eviction strategies, serialization, append-only logs, and error traceability to maintain reasoning consistency.
- Proficient in offloading large artifacts via reference patterns to improve efficiency and stability.
- Experience implementing observability for agent systems, including tracing, metrics, and evaluations, to debug grounding/safety issues and fine-tune p50/p95 latency and cost profiles.
- Background in designing safety and control mechanisms such as approval workflows, allow/deny lists for tools, sandboxing, audit logging, redaction patterns, and tooling orchestration without cache-breaking churn.
- Experience with AWS Infrastructure (esp. OpenSearch Service), containerization, IaC will be a highly desirable.
- Financial/Structured finance domain knowledge is highly desirable.
Education
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence or related field is required.
Responsibilities
- As the AI Engineer within the Asset Management technology teams, you will collaborate with global colleagues to develop, enhance and build AI first products in the Structured Finance area. In this role, you will play a key part in designing and implementing solutions that address complex challenges faced by our clients.
- Design and build deep agents and multi-agent orchestrations for complex financial data analysis and extraction, leveraging proprietary content, MCPs, and internal tools.
- Connect agents to MCPs and enterprise systems, ensuring seamless interoperability, security, and operational guardrails.
- Create and maintain contextual frameworks, tools, and workflows that keep agents grounded, efficient, and observable throughout execution.
- Establish and enforce guardrails, including policy checks, approval flows for high-risk actions, audit trails, and fallback mechanisms to ensure compliance and reliability.
- Architect end-to-end workflows that coordinate MCP tools, APIs, and data pipelines, optimizing for scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain evaluation frameworks to measure agent accuracy, grounding, safety, latency, and cost; apply feedback loops to drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with SMEs to encode domain logic, build templates, and create evaluation datasets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Communicate project and task progress clearly and regularly with stakeholders, ensuring transparency, alignment, and effective project management throughout the development lifecycle.
