Role Description & ResponsibilitiesThe Payroll Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of payroll in a shared service environment including but not limited to commission/bonus validation, straight and overtime wages, withholdings for federal, state, local and FICA taxes, deductions for employee benefits, and garnishments.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s in related field preferred
- 4+ years of experience or familiarity with US payrolls, labor laws and filing or the ability to quickly learn and apply them; training and instruction provided
- Experience with ADP and/or ability and willingness to learn ADP to an advance level
- Ability to work independently and/or within a collaborative team structure
- Positive, self-motivated individual with a high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn and incorporate coaching and instructions into daily tasks and assignments
- Highly organized with critical attention to details, along with good time and priority management
- Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
Strong communication skills in two parts: 1.) very strong writing skills utilizing the rules of English grammar; 2.) verbally clear, concise, and grammatically correct oral (speaking) communication skills in English
