Team Summary

The Korea & Mongolia Marketing team delivers client‑centric and market‑relevant marketing initiatives that strengthen Visa’s brand and partnerships across the region. The team leads integrated programs spanning client co‑marketing, brand campaigns, and culturally relevant sponsorship and entertainment activations.

What a Marketing Manager Does at Visa

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Korea & Mongolia, you advance Visa’s strategic priorities in Korea and Mongolia by delivering insight‑driven marketing programs that drive business growth, strengthen client partnerships, and elevate brand relevance. Your work spans:

  • Client Marketing: Lead co‑marketing strategies with issuers, fintechs, and merchants—delivering advisory, joint go‑to‑market planning, and data‑driven campaigns that drive acquisition, activation, usage, and retention.
  • Consumer & Merchant Marketing: Develop and execute consumer-facing programs including Visa brand/product campaigns, digital/social content, and merchant offer initiatives, ensuring cultural relevance and strong market impact.
  • Sponsorship & Entertainment Activation: Activate Visa’s global sponsorship and entertainment assets (Olympics, FIFA, Super Bowl, MAMA AWARDS, and more) to connect clients and consumers through culturally resonant experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bring the “best of Visa” marketing by collaborating with local, regional, and global marketing teams, Business Development, Product, Visa Consulting, and other cross-functional partners to deliver impactful client marketing solutions.
  • Partner closely with Business Development to invest client incentives and media budgets into high‑impact co‑marketing campaigns focused on acquisition, activation, usage, and retention.
  • Develop and manage domestic and international merchant partnerships end‑to‑end: identify and evaluate prospective merchants, negotiate partnership terms including offers, benefits, rights usage, content and toolkits, align joint KPIs and GTM, and lead full campaign execution across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Develop and execute Visa brand and consumer marketing programs, including digital content, social media, and influencer or celebrity integrations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Visa brand guidelines across all marketing materials produced by Visa, agencies, clients, and merchants.
  • Oversee digital brand alignment, including social media and website content relevant to marketing initiatives.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of agreed marketing programs, evaluating effectiveness and continuously optimizing performance.
  • Recommend the best use of Visa assets and platforms aligned with each client’s objectives to drive mutual business outcomes.
  • Lead end‑to‑end sponsorship activation across sports, entertainment, and cultural platforms—including the Olympics, FIFA, Super Bowl, and MAMA AWARDS—aligned with Visa brand and client priorities.
  • Manage local contacts within creative, media, experiential, and partnership agencies to ensure client‑centric planning and execution.
  • Develop deeper partnerships and unlock new revenue streams by providing Marketing VAS including data‑driven marketing, insights, marketing consulting, and segmentation methodologies.
  • Oversee administrative and operational components of marketing and VAS delivery including procurement, contracting, VIK processes, compliance requirements, and internal governance.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines within internal systems.
  • Support the team with compliance management, audit alignment, and proper documentation.
