Skills and Competencies

  • Proven experience leading complex, consultative sales cycles and closing business within financial services or corporate treasury environments
  • Solid understanding of the banking industry, banking practices, and banking products
  • Strong understanding of global financial services markets, customer business drivers, and industry dynamics
  • Ability to deliver high-impact product demonstrations and clearly communicate technical and strategic value propositions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to senior executives
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to identify client needs and recommend tailored solutions
  • High attention to detail, ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency
  • Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

Education

  • Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s) required, ideally with coursework in business, economics, finance, marketing, or a related field

Responsibilities

Drive end-to-end sales cycles, build strong client relationships, and deliver strategic guidance to promote Moody’s Analytics solutions.

  • Build and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed annual sales goals aligned with company objectives
  • Identify and qualify prospects, initiate new sales activity, and manage the full sales cycle to closure
  • Lead business development within assigned territories and partner with Solution Specialists to craft compelling proposals and targeted demos
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Product Strategy teams to enhance product quality and identify new revenue opportunities
  • Maintain strong client relationships by assessing needs, identifying gaps, and recommending appropriate Moody’s solutions
  • Provide client-specific product overviews and guidance based on an understanding of their business requirements
  • Introduce additional products and services that may benefit clients and integrate these into ongoing dialogue
  • Act as a market expert, providing product/service use cases throughout the sales cycle
  • Serve as the primary liaison between client services, implementation teams, and clients on services opportunities
  • Coordinate responses to client requests for product and service information
  • Represent Moody’s at industry and company events as needed
  • Provide market insights internally and externally; support training of new team members
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline updates for management
  • Travel required approximately 20–40%

About the Team

Our Sales team is responsible for driving revenue growth by delivering high-value solutions and building trusted partnerships with clients. By joining our team you’ll contribute by expanding market presence through strategic business development and provide clients with data-driven insights and industry-leading solutions.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $113,200.00 - $162,400.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
