Skills and Competencies

• Understanding of software testing concepts and familiarity with tools such as Cypress, (Playwright), TypeScript, Postman, Jest, or similar technologies. Candidates should have initial experience working with relevant tools and applying automation practices as part of their role
• Foundational understanding of manual testing techniques, including writing test cases, executing test scripts, and documenting test results. Exposure to API or UI testing
• Ability to analyze requirements, identify expected behavior, and recognize potential issues. Should demonstrate curiosity and a willingness to ask questions to understand systems and test scenarios
• Careful and thorough approach to executing tests and documenting findings. Ability to identify inconsistencies or unexpected behavior in applications
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment, ask for guidance when needed, and communicate test results clearly to senior QA engineers or developers
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) or basic understanding of CI/CD concepts is a plus
• Exposure to cloud computing concepts or interest in learning AWS services is beneficial
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases under the guidance of senior QA engineers to ensure application quality across web applications and APIs
• Assist in creating and maintaining automation test cases and test data based on requirements and acceptance criteria
• Support test execution activities, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing
• Document defects clearly with steps to reproduce and collaborate with developers to validate fixes
• Learn and gradually contribute to automation efforts by maintaining simple automated scripts or reusable components under supervision
• Participate in team discussions to gain understanding of requirements and testing expectations
• Help update test documentation, track testing progress, and contribute to quality reporting under direction from senior team members
• Observe code reviews and design discussions to learn about software quality and testability best practices

Education

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred
