Work You'll Do
As a Senior Consultant you will:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL data pipelines in data platforms using PySpark, SQL, and Pipeline Builder to ingest, integrate, and transform supply chain data (inventory, logistics, procurement, distribution, operations).
- Translate supply chain business requirements into well-defined data products (tables, views, curated datasets) by partnering with supply chain SMEs, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure fit-for-purpose outputs.
- Develop and maintain a supply chain data ontology by defining core data objects, relationships, and events/actions (e.g., item, location, order, shipment, lead time) to enable enterprise-wide analysis and scenario modeling.
- Implement automated workflows that support supply chain scenarios (e.g., inventory rebalancing, transportation routing, supplier performance) and enable near-real-time and predictive analytics consumption.
- Optimize pipeline performance and cost through partitioning strategies, incremental processing, query tuning, and efficient data modeling to meet SLAs and analytics latency expectations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines end-to-end by setting up alerts, investigating failures, performing root-cause analysis, and deploying fixes to restore data availability quickly.
- Ensure data quality and reliability by implementing validation rules, reconciliation checks, and anomaly detection for key supply chain measures (e.g., on-hand, demand, service level, lead time, OTIF).
- Support supply chain optimization initiatives by preparing clean, well-documented datasets and features for data science and operations research models and partnering on deployment into production workflows.
